The cardiology research program thrives under the new leadership of Bernhard Kühn, MD, with continued funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to perform multicenter trials in pediatric heart transplantation, development of novel mechanical circulatory support devices for use in children, and expansion of the fellowship program.
