Janet Mary Kinnane, MD
- Assistant Professor of Pediatrics

Janet Kinnane is an assistant professor in the Division of Emergency Medicine. Her research interests include injury prevention and the history of medicine.
Kinnane earned a BA in History from Mount Holyoke College. She earned her MD from Harvard Medical School and completed her Pediatric residency at Boston Children’s Hospital. She completed a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, doing one year at Boston’s Children’s Hospital and one year at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, due to her spouse’s transfer to the University of Pittsburgh. She then completed a fellowship in Injury Prevention at the Center for Injury Prevention and Control (CIRCL) at the University of Pittsburgh.
