Michaela Idleburg-Patty, MS, CGC
- Genetic Counselor, III
Michaela Idleburg-Patty is a licensed and certified pediatric genetic counselor with over 5 years of clinical experience. Michaela completed her undergraduate work at Truman State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minors in Psychology and Spanish for the Medical Professions. She received her Masters of Science degree in Genetic Counseling from the University of Cincinnati in 2018. Michaela has a strong interest in neurodevelopmental disorders. Non-clinical areas of interest include outreach, student supervision, and student education. She is passionate about fostering positive family relationships for those with special needs by providing education and guidance through genetic counseling. Michaela is part of the National Society of Genetic Counselors (NSGC), the Minority Genetic Professional Network (MGPN), and the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) group for the University of Pittsburgh.
